Bronwyn Birkett
Social Worker, Counsellor, Educator

Bronwyn is the founder of Anewing Services, a counselling and wellbeing support service.
Bronwyn brings together experience in education, wellbeing leadership, counselling support, and social work. Her work is grounded in the belief that young people are best supported when their emotional wellbeing, learning needs, relationships, strengths, and environment are understood together.
Before establishing Anewing, Bronwyn worked for more than a decade in secondary education, including classroom teaching, support teaching, student wellbeing, and middle leadership. She has supported young people through academic pressure, behavioural challenges, friendship difficulties, family stress, motivation issues, school refusal, identity development, emotional distress, and transitions through adolescence.
Bronwyn also holds a Master of Social Work (Qualifying), a Master of Secondary Education, and a Bachelor of Social Science. Her counselling approach is informed by strengths-based practice, person-centred support, trauma-informed care, solution-focused approaches, CBT-informed strategies, motivational interviewing, and practical skill development.
Through Anewing, Bronwyn supports her clients to better understand themselves, build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, improve habits, and develop more confidence in their capacity to manage life’s challenges.
Her approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. She works alongside clients to identify what is already working, what needs support, and what small steps can create meaningful change.
